Idman.Biz reports that Punhan Shahmarov (48 kg) defeated Belarusian Nazar Krishnyov with a score of 5:3 and advanced to the 1/4 finals. Raul Mammadzade (62 kg) defeated Bulgarian Grigor Simyonov with a clear advantage (9:1) and made it to the 1/4 finals. Khudayar Karimov (41 kg) is also among those who advanced to the 1/4 finals. He defeated Finnish Vilyami Kotilainen with a score of 5:3.

Punhan Shahmarov, who competed in the 48 kg weight category, defeated Hungarian representative V. Olash with a score of 11:3. With this result, our athlete qualified for the 1/8 finals.
Huseyn Amrahli, who tested his strength in the 38 kg, won a confident victory over Armenian wrestler G. Karapetyan. Our representative defeated his opponent with a score of 9:0 and advanced to the 1/4 finals.
Rasul Ahmadli, who competed in the 52 kg weight category, lost to Turkish Muhammed Ozen with a score of 1:2 in the 1/8 finals.
It should be noted that the U-15 European Championship will last until May 24. Azerbaijan is represented in all three types of wrestling in the competition.
