The wrestling competitions at the Turkic-Speaking Countries' Universiade held in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan, have come to an end.
Idman.biz reports that 4 more of our wrestlers have ascended the podium at the competition held in the sports hall of the "Ruh Ordo" cultural center.
In Greco-Roman wrestling, Roman Kerimov (67 kg), and in freestyle wrestling, Ashraf Ashirov (86 kg) and Yusif Dursunov (125 kg) won gold medals. Musa Agayev (65 kg), one of our freestyle wrestlers, won a silver medal.
Thus, our wrestlers finished the Universiade with 8 (4 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze) medals.
It should be noted that yesterday Vadat Gasimli (60 kg) won gold, Ali Guliyev (97 kg) won silver, and Ramik Heybatov (74 kg) and Javad Mammadov (77 kg) won bronze medals.
In the end, our Greco-Roman wrestling team took 1st place, and our freestyle wrestling team took 2nd place.
