The opening ceremony of the World Armwrestling Championship, organized in Baku, has been held.
Idman.Biz reports that the event was attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, officials of the Azerbaijan Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (ABFF), President of the International Armwrestling Federation (IFA) Anders Aksklo, representatives of countries that will compete in the World Championship, and other official guests.
Before the event, a symbolic belt was presented to Anders Aksklo and Farid Gayibov by Azer Maharramov, Vice President of the ABFF for armwrestling.
After the IFA President expressed his views, F. Gayibov spoke. The Minister wished the participants success and declared the World Championship open.
It should be noted that the tournament, which is attended by more than 400 athletes from 30 countries and started today, will end on October 31.
