Lent.az reports that 2 members of the Azerbaijani national freestyle wrestling team have reached the decisive match.
Kenan Heybatov (70 kilograms) faced Iranian Sina Khalili in the final. Although the opponent was superior in the first half, our compatriot won a determined victory. Kenan, who defeated his opponent with a score of 9:4, became the U-23 world champion for the first time.
Khetag Karsanov (125 kilograms) also faced an Iranian representative in the final. However, the national team member, who started competing in the heaviest weight this year, lost to Abolfazl Nejad (0:11) and won a silver medal.
