The U-20 World Wrestling Championship continues in Samokov, Bulgaria.
Lent.az, citing apasport.az, reports that the first medalists among Greco-Roman wrestlers have been determined at the World Championship today.
Ayxan Javadov, competing in the 60 kg weight category, faced Armenian Yurik Mkhitaryan in the final. Our athlete won with a score of 12:5 and became the world champion.
With this, our team won its first gold medal in the tournament.
It should be noted that two of our Greco-Roman wrestlers will compete for medals tomorrow.
