The U-20 World Championship held in Samokov, Bulgaria, was very successful for Azerbaijani wrestler Aykhan Javadov (60 kg).
The athlete himself stated this in an interview with "Report".
He thanked the leadership of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation for the result achieved:
"We must not forget the coaches who prepared me for the competition. Their efforts in this matter are great. This world championship was very successful for me. For now, I plan to compete in my weight category for some time. I hope that in future competitions I will delight the Azerbaijani people with my results."
It should be noted that Aykhan Javadov won the decisive match against Armenian Yurik Mkhitaryan with a score of 12:5 and climbed to the honorary podium.
