The 2026 World Wrestling Championships for under-17 wrestlers will be held in Baku. Sport24.az reports that the decision was made at a meeting of the Executive Committee of the United World Wrestling (UWW).
Baku was entrusted with the organization of the competition, which Sofia (Bulgaria), Alexandria (Egypt), Amman (Jordan), and Brasov (Romania) were also candidates for.
The world's strongest junior wrestlers will be determined next year from July 27 to August 2 at the National Gymnastics Arena.
It should be noted that Baku also hosted this competition in 2012.
