"I have great faith in the future of my volleyball players who are competing with strong teams."
Idman.biz reports that this was stated to Report by Jahangir Seyed Abbasi, the head coach of the Azerbaijani U-17 boys' volleyball team.
"Unfortunately, our rivals Turkmenistan and Tajikistan did not come to these games. Therefore, the games were held in a round-robin format. In fact, we shouldn't have played against Belarus, Russia, and Uzbekistan at all. Since it was like this, we played with them.
Unfortunately, we lost and finished in fourth place. Still, we shouldn't be discouraged. We played against strong opponents. Playing against such teams was a great experience for us. The children must learn and draw lessons. It was the first international game of our team's players. Athletes who started playing volleyball 15-16 months ago showed such a game. For this reason, I believe in the future of these children," said the head coach.
It should be reminded that the Azerbaijani U-17 boys' volleyball team lost to the Belarus national team with a score of 1-3 in the last match at the III CIS Games.
