Nilufar Agazade, a national volleyball player and one of the flag bearers of the Azerbaijani sports delegation at the VI Islamic Solidarity Games, stated that she is very proud to represent her country.
Idman.biz reports that the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation (AVF) has released information about this.
In her statement, she noted that appearing as a flag bearer at the opening ceremony was both an honorable and exciting moment for her:
"It is a great honor for me to represent our country in such a prestigious competition. Appearing as a flag bearer at the opening ceremony was both honorable and exciting. I am participating in the Islamic Solidarity Games for the first time, and this is a very joyful event for me."
Nilufar Agazade added that the volleyball competitions have already started and her team has won two games with a score of 3:0:
"Our goal is to continue this successful performance and achieve high results. I wish success to both our volleyball team and all athletes representing our country in other sports."
The national volleyball player also expressed her gratitude for the trust and support shown, adding:
"We will do our best to represent Azerbaijan properly and proudly wave our flag."
