Jalil Jafarov, Advisor to the President of the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation and Member of the Board of Directors of the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV), is participating as a CEV representative in the "Champions League Final Four Men 2026" tournament. According to Sport24.az, the next meeting of the CEV Board of Directors was also held as part of the prestigious competition held in Turin, Italy. The meeting was chaired by CEV President Rocco Sikirić.
The meeting discussed the development prospects of European volleyball, the organization of international competitions, the management of inter-club tournaments, the refereeing system, marketing activities, commercial cooperation and organizational issues related to the upcoming season.
In addition, an exchange of views took place on CEV's future activities and projects to be implemented for the further development of European volleyball.
It should be noted that "CEV Champions League Final Four Men" is one of the most prestigious inter-club volleyball tournaments in Europe. In the final stage, the volleyball teams "PGE Projekt Warszawa" and "Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie" from Poland, "Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia" from Italy, as well as "Ziraat Bankkart Ankara" from Turkey are competing for the championship.
