Trainings were held in the city of Shirvan within the framework of the World Badminton Federation's (BWF) "Shuttle Time" project to increase the popularity of this sport among schoolchildren and to train young coaches and referees.
According to the information provided to "Report" from the Azerbaijan Badminton Federation (ABF), "Shuttle Time Teachers" courses were organized for regional teachers within the framework of the program, and practical exercises on teaching badminton to students were carried out.
The training, conducted by specialists appointed by the ABF, took place at the Shirvan City Children and Youth Sports Chess School of the Republican Sports Center of Education.
Schoolchildren got acquainted with badminton during the training and acquired theoretical and practical knowledge. The fun, game-based training system developed by the BWF, included in the world's best badminton projects, develops children's physical abilities (speed, agility, coordination) and increases endurance.
The main goal of the project is to achieve the mass character of badminton in our country, as well as to ensure its accessibility, to arouse interest in this sport among schoolchildren and to train young badminton coaches.
It is planned to hold the program in various regions this year, thereby expanding the geography of badminton throughout the country. This year, the implementation of the "Shuttle Time" program was first started at secondary school No. 39 named after Mir Jalal Pashayev in Ganja.
The project is implemented with the support of the World Badminton Federation, the European Badminton Confederation (BEC), the National Olympic Committee, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the Ministry of Science and Education.
