Members of the Azerbaijani national women's volleyball team will do their best to be among the medalists at the VI Islamic Solidarity Games to be held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
Aynur Imanova, a member of the national team, told "Report" about this.
She said that they have already held their first training sessions in the city:
"Although we have very little time to prepare for the competition, under the leadership of our head coach Faig Garayev, we tried to prepare as much as possible in this short time through both training and test matches. The mood in the team is very good."
The player recalled that they won a gold medal at the IV Islamic Solidarity Games held in Baku:
"In the next Islamic Solidarity Games, we took third place. We respect every opponent, but we always go out on the field to win. The main thing for us is to show our game. If we can do this, I believe we will win. We will do our best to be among the prize-winners. We will fight to the end for every point on the field."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team will start the competition on November 4. The team will face the national teams of Tajikistan, Iran, Turkey and Afghanistan. The volleyball competitions will end on November 13.
