The goal of the Azerbaijan women's handball team at the VI Islamic Solidarity Games, which will be held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, has been announced.
The head coach of the team, Aleksandr Revva, made a statement to "Report" about this.
He stated that they want to be among the prize winners in the competition.
"We spent the first stage of preparation for the tournament in Baku, and now we are in Mingachevir for a ten-day training camp. Here we combine special physical training with technical and tactical exercises. In order to increase game experience, we plan to hold a friendly meeting with the 'Kur' team. The training camp will last until the 30th of the month, and the final stage will be organized in Baku. In general, I am very pleased with the players' approach to training and their dedication.
The expert said that he does not have complete information about the rivals in the Islamic Games:
"Because some of the teams have not yet officially confirmed their participation in the tournament. We are preparing for this competition with serious goals. Our main goal is to compete for medals, at least to be among the prize winners. Our team will work with all its strength to achieve this goal."
It should be noted that the VI Islamic Solidarity Games will be held from November 7 to 21.
