Six-time "Grand Slam" champion and world number one, Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz has been awarded the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award for the second time in three years.
Idman.Biz reports about this with reference to the ATP press service.
Alcaraz surpassed Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov and Norwegian Casper Ruud in the nomination. The nominees were determined by a vote of the International Tennis Writers Association (ITWA), and for the first time the winner was selected by 29 current and former players who have risen to the world number one ranking.
The 22-year-old Spaniard first won this award in 2023, finishing the season at the top of the ATP rankings. In the 2025 season, Carlos won two "Grand Slams" - "Roland Garros" and "US Open", as well as three "Masters" tournaments and three "500" series tournaments.
