Azerbaijani women's table tennis players successfully participated in the Eurasian League held in Almaty, Kazakhstan. According to Sport24.az, the quartet consisting of Aylin Asgarova, Zemfira Mikayilova, Laman Abdulhamidova, and Marziyya Nurmatova, who participated in the competition under the leadership of head coach Farhad Ismayilov, competed in the second league of the tournament.
Our team, participating in this competition for the first time, won seven of the eight matches it played up to the final.
Our representatives, who lost only to the Uzbekistan national team in the decisive match, finished the first round of the tournament in second place.
The next round of the competition will be held on May 28-31. In total, based on the results of four rounds, the teams that take the first two places will have the opportunity to qualify for the Super League.
