Azerbaijani table tennis players have demonstrated high productivity in the Eurasian League held in Aktobe, Kazakhstan.
Idman.Biz reports that our youth national team was remembered for its confident game in the first stage of the tournament.
The trio of Adil Ahmadzadeh, Rustam Hajili, and Onur Guluzade, competing under the leadership of head coach Ramil Jafarov, played six matches in the first round. Our table tennis players won five of these games against their opponents, securing important victories. The team, which lost only one match, is in second place in the tournament table according to the overall results.
Let us remind you that our women's team also performed brilliantly in a similar competition. The team consisting of Aylin Asgarova, Zemfira Mikayilova, Laman Abdulhamidova, and Marziyya Nurmatova won seven out of eight games and took second place in their debut tournament.
The next round of the tournament will be held on May 28-31.
