Azerbaijani women's table tennis players successfully performed at the Eurasian League held in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
Idman.Biz reports that the quartet consisting of Aylin Asgarova, Zemfira Mikayilova, Laman Abdulhamidova and Marziyya Nurmatova, participating in the competition under the leadership of head coach Farhad Ismayilov, competed in the second league of the tournament. Our team, participating in this competition for the first time, won seven of the eight games it played until the final.
Our representatives, who lost only to the Uzbekistan national team in the decisive match, finished the first round of the tournament in second place.
The next round of the competition will be held on May 28-31. In general, based on the results of four rounds, the teams that will take the first two places will have the opportunity to qualify for the Super League.
