"Two difficult stages await us ahead".
Idman.Biz reports that these words were said by Gleb Suritsa, the Russian member of the Kazakh team "XDS Astana", the winner of the third stage of the "Baku-Khankendi" international cycling race, in his statement to journalists.
He stated that for this reason, they tried to save energy so that other teams would work more:
"We will be given instructions regarding the next stages this evening. We saved our energy. If we spend our main strength, it will be very difficult for everyone."
It should be noted that the winner of the second stage of the cycling race on the Baku-Ismayilli route was Yevgeni Fedorov, a cyclist from the "XDS Astana" World Tour team of Kazakhstan. The winner of the first stage of the race on the Baku-Sumgayit route was Aleksey Shnirko, a Belarusian member of the Chinese "Li-Ning Star" team.
It should be reminded that 24 teams representing 20 countries of the world are participating in the UCI 2.1 category competition of the International Cycling Union (UCI). The prize fund of the five-stage tournament is more than 50,000 euros. The race will end on May 14. The final stage of the tournament will be organized in Khankendi city.
