Idman.Biz reports that these words were said by Sahib Alakbarov, First Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the race.
He stated that the participants highly appreciated the roads of Azerbaijan:
"The highways in Azerbaijan are magnificent. Everything from Gabala to Mingachevir was at a very high level. This is the opinion not only of me, but also of foreign guests."
It should be reminded that 24 teams representing 20 countries of the world are participating in the UCI 2.1 category race. The prize fund of the five-stage tournament is more than 50,000 euros. The race will end on May 14. The final stage of the tournament will be held in Khankendi.
