He stated that the main goal is to develop cycling.
"Today, the stage from "Sea Breeze" to Ismayilli was successfully completed. Interest in the race is also at a high level. We want cycling to develop more in our country. We are trying to move forward in this sport," said Alakbarov.
Let us remind you that the Kazakh cyclist of the "Astana" team, Yevgeny Fedorov, became the winner of the second stage. Yesterday, Alexey Shnirko, a Belarusian member of the Chinese "Li-Ning Star" team, reached the finish line first in the first round. 24 teams representing 20 countries of the world are competing in the UCI 2.1 category race. The prize fund of the five-stage race is more than 50,000 euros. The race will end on May 14.
The final stage of the tournament will be held in Khankendi.
