An international conference on "Inclusive Anti-Doping Approaches for Women and Girl Athletes in the Sports Environment in Cities and Regions within Gender Equality" was organized as part of the "Baku Urban Planning Week", which is organized on the eve of the 13th session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13).
Idman.Biz reports that the event, organized by the Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency (AMADA), discussed gender equality in sports, inclusiveness, the formation of a healthy and safe sports environment, as well as international experience in anti-doping policy.
The conference was addressed by Fuad Hajiyev, Rector of the Azerbaijan Sports Academy, Nigar Arpadarai, Member of Parliament, Elnur Mammadov, representative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Tahmina Tagi-zade, Executive Director of AMADA, and other local and foreign experts.
The plenary sessions discussed the creation of an inclusive environment for women athletes, risk factors, educational approaches, and the effectiveness of gender-based anti-doping policies.
At the end of the event, participants emphasized the importance of promoting clean sports principles and gender equality.
