Idman.biz, citing Report, reports that this was stated by Farid Gayibov, Minister of Youth and Sports, participating in the "Cross the Kura?!" open water swimming competition held in Mingachevir, in a statement to journalists.
He stated that for the first time, these games are being held outside the capital - in seven regions, including Mingachevir: "Test competitions in several sports are also being held here. I thank all participants, organizers, the Swimming Federation, the Baku City Ring, and volunteers. There are Mingachevir volunteers here. Their experience is increasing year by year."
