Azerbaijani rower Tatyana Smilovenko is happy to be among the strongest at the European Championship held in Romania.
The athlete said this in an interview with "Report".
"There are many impressions. Both good and not so good to some extent. Because I could have achieved a higher achievement. I am glad that I was able to show myself in the 500-meter race. I thank my coaches for the results I achieved. The European Championship is always difficult. The main thing is to be able to win a medal," she said.
The rower said that she faced strong opponents:
"My opponents were international and very strong. I am happy to be among the strongest. I need to analyze the shortcomings in order to achieve better results."
T.Smilovenko's main goal is the Summer Olympic Games:
"But now I have to evaluate the situation for today. I have to perform well in international competitions in the world."
It should be noted that Tatyana Smilovenko won a bronze medal at the European Championship.
