"We achieved a very good result on the first day of the swimming competition."
Idman.biz reports that this was stated to journalists by Suleyman Ismayilzade, the Azerbaijani representative who won a silver medal in the 1500m freestyle swimming competition of the III CIS Games.
He noted that Azerbaijani swimmers won a medal for the first time in the history of the CIS Games: "This is a great success for our country. I am happy to have won a silver medal. I want to achieve even better results in the future. I wish success to our other representatives, and I thank my coaches and the federation management."
