The first meeting of the NOC Athletes' Commission for 2026 was held on March 18 in the administrative building of the National Olympic Committee.
Idman.Biz reports that the main issues on the agenda of the meeting were the report on the projects implemented over the past period and the determination of the future activities of the commission.
At the meeting, commission members also put forward their proposals.
The main goal of the Athletes' Commission is to protect the interests of athletes, defend their rights and play a coordinating role between athletes and the International Olympic Committee.
It should be noted that for the period of 2025-2028, Farida Azizova (taekwondo) is the chairman of the commission, Leyla Aliyeva (judo), Irada Ashumova (shooting), Haji Aliyev (wrestling), Nazim Babayev (athletics), Rafig Huseynov (wrestling), Fatima Alkaramova (swimming), Rasul Chunayev (wrestling) operate as members of the commission.
