She recalled that taekwondo was included in the program of this tournament for the first time: "This is also a novelty in the festival with a 34-year history. Our team will be represented by 8 athletes in this competition, including 5 boys and 3 girls. The national team includes experienced and promising athletes. We have participated in two competitions since the beginning of the year. These competitions were a kind of preparation for this festival. Our team is already in the final stage of preparation. Of course, this is a competition, it is difficult to predict in advance. But our athletes are working intensively in training. They feel in good shape. We have athletes in the team who can achieve results. I hope that our team will return home from the festival with medals."
It should be noted that the taekwondo competitions of the European Youth Summer Olympic Festival will be held on July 23-25 at the Skopje University of Physical Education.
