Today, another Azerbaijani judoka will start competing in the "Grand Slam" tournament held in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan.
Idman.Biz reports that Rashid Mammadaliyev (73 kg) will take to the tatami.
The 26-year-old athlete will face the winner of the pair Binyomin Nazirov (Tajikistan) / Vlad Mitru (Moldova) in the 1/8 finals.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan is represented by six judokas in four weight categories in the competition included in the World Judo Tour. Yesterday, Murad Muradli (60 kg), Islam Rahimov and Nizami Imranov (both 66 kg) finished the tournament without medals. The "Grand Slam" will end on May 3.
