Three junior judokas from Azerbaijan have advanced to the 1/4 finals of the World Championship held in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.
According to the employee of "Report" who was sent to the competition, Khadija Abdullayeva and Gulshan Huseynova (both 44 kg) won two matches and secured a ticket to this round.
Anar Guliyev (50 kg) was stronger than the Armenian representative Narek Davtyan in the 1/8 finals.
Rza Khalilli (50 kg) and Rasul Alizade (55 kg) lost in the 1/16 finals.
Mahammadali Huseynov (55 kg) won in the 1/16 finals and advanced to the next stage.
It should be noted that the individual competition at the World Championship will end on August 30. A mixed team competition will be held on August 31.
