The draw ceremony for the "Grand Slam" judo tournament to be held in Ulan Bator, the capital of Mongolia, has taken place. Sport24.az reports that the first opponents of Azerbaijani judokas have also been determined in the draw.
In the 60 kg weight category, Balabay Agayev is exempt from the first stage. He will face the winner of the Konstantin Simeonidis (UAE) - Mendsaikhan Nyamsuren (Mongolia) pair in the 1/8 finals.
Turan Bayramov, who will compete in the same weight category, will also join the competition from the 1/8 finals. His opponent will be the stronger of the Sumiyabazar Enkhtaivan (Mongolia) - Yuantao Wang (China) pair.
In the 66 kg weight category, Elshan Asadov will wrestle with Tsantsandorj Unurbat (Mongolia) in the 1/16 finals.
It should be noted that the competition will start tomorrow at 08:00 Baku time.
