A new judo hall has started operating in Mehdiabad settlement of Absheron region.
Idman.Biz reports that the opening ceremony was attended by Kamran Talibov, Deputy Secretary General and Sports Director of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, Rustam Alimli, head coach of the national team consisting of young men, and other officials.
The hall has been equipped with tatami mats meeting modern standards by the Azerbaijan Judo Federation. There are also changing rooms and other auxiliary areas. The new hall has facilities for more than 150 athletes to practice judo.
It should be noted that new judo halls have been put into operation in various regions of the country during 2022-2026. At the same time, a total of 14,300 tatami mats were distributed to 202 sports halls in Baku and the regions.
