Azerbaijani judoka Hidayat Heydarov has reached the final of the European Championship held in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. Sport24.az reports that Heydarov, competing in the 73 kg weight category, defeated Turkish Bilal Ciloğlu in the semi-final.
He previously defeated Konstantinos Tsaparas (Greece) in the 1/16 final, Dardan Çenan (Kosovo) in the 1/8 final, and Dayyan Boulemtafesi (France) in the 1/4 final.
Heydarov will face Georgian Lasha Shavdatuashvili in the final.
