An educational seminar on healthy eating and performance was held for members of the Azerbaijani national junior women's judo team. Sport24.az reports that the seminar was organized within the framework of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation's training program and was dedicated to the role of proper nutrition in the athletic development of judokas.
During the training, it was explained with simple and practical examples why nutrition is critical during adolescence, its impact on energy levels, attention and recovery processes, proper use of carbohydrates, and the importance of hydration and the recovery window.
Presenting real examples from international tournament experiences, the negative effects of incorrect nutrition and unplanned weight loss on performance were emphasized.
