The score was opened by Bilal Al-Xannus after a pass from Yoşi Vanyoman just before the break. In the 60th minute Grisha Premel doubled "Stuttgart"'s lead, and shortly after Ermedin Demirovic scored the visitors' third goal.
In the 81st minute Marius Bülyter reduced "Cologne"'s deficit by one goal. However, the final word belonged to the visitors – in the 90th minute Vanyoman sealed the final score.
