Azerbaijani judokas are starting to compete today at the "Grand Slam" tournament held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.
According to "Report", 7 of our athletes will enter the tatami on the first day of the competition.
In the 60 kg weight category, Ahmad Yusifov will wrestle Samariddin Kuchkarov (Uzbekistan) in the 1/16 final, and Balabay Agayev will wrestle his compatriot Bakhrom Boturov.
In the 66 kg category, Nizami Imranov will clarify relations with Minhao Zhang (China) in this round, and Turan Bayramov will clarify relations with Matan Kokolayev (Israel).
In the 48 kg weight category, Konul Aliyeva will try to break the resistance of Uzbek Sevinch Muradova in the 1/16 final, and Shafag Hamidova will try to break the resistance of Chinese Wenna Zhuang. Leyla Aliyeva (52 kg) will face Russian representative Liliya Nugayeva at this stage.
It should be noted that the "Grand Slam" will end on March 1.
