Azerbaijani judokas have won 2 gold and 1 bronze medals at the Grand Prix tournament held in Guadalajara, Mexico. Sport24.az reports that Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) won the gold medal by defeating Czech representative Husniddin Kerimov in the final.
Vusal Galandarzada (81 kg) also achieved the same success. He rose to the highest step of the podium by defeating Eetu Ihanamaki (Finland) in the decisive match of the tournament.
Rashid Mammadaliyev (73) won the bronze medal by defeating Canadian Justin Lemire in the match for third place.
It should be noted that earlier, our judokas Balabay Agayev (60 kg) and Ruslan Pashayev (66 kg) became the winners of the Mexican tournament. Ahmad Yusifov (60 kg) won a bronze medal.
