Azerbaijani judokas finished the European Youth Cup held in Berlin, the capital of Germany, with 9 medals.
The press service of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation told "Report" about this.
On the second - final day of the competition, 4 members of our national team rose to the podium.
The 90 kg weight category was marked by the Azerbaijani final. Tuncay Shamil won a gold medal, and Aslan Kotsoyev won a silver medal.
Suleyman Shukurov won a bronze medal in the 81 kg weight category, and Ramazan Ahmadov won a bronze medal in the +100 kg weight category.
Let us remind you that on the first day of the competition, Nihad Mamishov (60 kg), Muhammad Musayev (66 kg), Abil Yusubov (73 kg) won silver medals, and Nizami Imranov (66 kg) and Mehdi Jafarov (73 kg) won bronze medals.
Thus, our team, which won 1 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze medals, took first place in the men's competition in terms of the quality of medals among 34 countries, and third place in the overall team standings.
