According to the calendar of the International Judo Federation, the "Grand Slam" tournament will be held in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, on March 20–22.
Idman.Biz reports that Azerbaijan will be represented in the prestigious competition by 11 judokas (6 men, 5 women) in 7 weight categories under the leadership of the senior coaches of the men's national team - Elchin Ismayilov, Robert Kravchik; the head coach of the women's team, Amina Abdellatif, and the senior coach Sasha Herkenrat-Vimar.
406 athletes (250 men, 156 women) from 52 countries will compete in the three-day tournament.
Nazim Umbayev, a judge of "A" category international level, a member of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation's referee panel, will be among the representatives of justice in the competition held in the World Tour series.
