The European Junior Judo Cup will be held in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, on July 5-6. According to Sport24.az, 22 judokas from Azerbaijan (14 boys, 8 girls) will compete in 10 weight categories at the competition organized by the European Judo Union.
Our country will be represented at the European Cup by Mirkhaliq Iskandarov, Aykhan Mirzazade, Nijat Eyvazov (all three 60 kg), Mehdi Jafarov, Salim Sultanov, Nihad Yahyayev (all three 73 kg), Nahid Tarquliyev, Roman Garayev, Mehdi Abbasov, Jasur Ibadli (all 81 kg), Canpolad Aliyev, Ali Kazimammadov (both 90 kg), Davud Namazli, Vidad Aliyev (both 100 kg), Aydan Valiyeva, Khadija Gadashova (both 52 kg), Fidan Gasimova, Gulnara Bayramova (both 57 kg), Nilgun Rzayeva, Leyla Atayeva (both 63 kg), Parvana Abdullayeva (70 kg) and Nigar Suleymanova (+78 kg).
It should be noted that Arzu Acalova and Akif Tahirov, members of the Azerbaijani Judo Federation's panel of judges, "A" category international judges, will also be among the representatives of justice at the tournament, where 447 athletes (280 boys, 167 girls) from 32 countries will test their strength.
