Azerbaijani judoka Ahmad Yusifov (60 kg) has won the "Grand Slam" tournament for the first time in his career.
Idman.Biz reports that the athlete achieved this at the competition held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.
He defeated another Azerbaijani judoka, Balabey Agayev, in the final.
Earlier, Nizami Imranov, Turan Bayramov (both 66 kg), Konul Aliyeva, Shafa Hamdova (both 48 kg), and Leyla Aliyeva (52 kg) stopped the fight.
It should be noted that the "Grand Slam" will end on March 1.

It was reported that seven of our athletes will enter the tatami on the first day of the competition.
In the 60 kg weight category, Ahmad Yusifov will compete against Samariddin Kuchkarov (Uzbekistan) in the 1/16 finals, and Balabey Agayev will compete against his compatriot Bakhrom Boturov.
At 66 kg, Nizami Imranov will clarify the relationship with Minhao Zhang (China) in this round, and Turan Bayramov with Matan Kokolayev (Israel).
In the 48 kg weight category, Konul Aliyeva will try to break the resistance of Uzbek Sevinch Muradova in the 1/16 finals, and Shafa Hamdova will try to break the resistance of Chinese Wenna Chuang. Leyla Aliyeva (52 kg) will face Russian representative Liliya Nugayeva at this stage.
