Amy Carlon, the U.S. Chargé d'Affaires ad interim in Azerbaijan, watched the spectacular performances of the world's most talented young gymnasts at the Trampoline Gymnastics and Tumbling World Cup held in Baku.
Idman.Biz reports that this was announced by the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan.
"On behalf of the Embassy, we sincerely congratulate all participants, including the athletes who won six medals from Azerbaijan and three from the US team! We were especially pleased that the entire podium in the men's individual tumbling competition (pictured) consisted of Azerbaijani and American athletes. Like Azerbaijan, the United States is proud to host international sporting events, including gymnastics competitions. On March 7, Las Vegas, Nevada will host the American Cup in artistic gymnastics. This competition will be organized for the first time in a mixed team (men and women) format and will serve as a test for the first mixed team gymnastics competition at the Summer Olympics in Los Angeles in 2028," the statement said.
