The Azerbaijani national team has added a second gold medal to its tally at the Universiade held in the Rhine-Ruhr region of Germany.
Idman.biz's correspondent, who is on assignment in Germany, reports that the gymnastics group exercise team took first place in the five ribbons routine.
Our team, consisting of Laman Alimuradova, Darya Sorokina, Yelizaveta Luzan, Gullu Agalarzade, and Kamilla Aliyeva, scored 22.850 points and took the highest step on the podium. Ukraine won the silver medal, and Korea won the bronze medal.
Today, our team will test its strength in another final. Our gymnasts will perform with 3 balls and 2 hoops.
It should be noted that our group exercise team won a gold medal in the all-around competition yesterday.
