Azerbaijani gymnast Selcan Mahsudova believes she will win a gold medal at the III CIS Games.
According to the employee of "Report", who was sent to Shaki, the athlete herself said this.
The athlete, who won a bronze medal in individual competitions, assessed the results:
"Trampoline gymnastics was included in the III CIS Games for the first time. Therefore, we started preparing seriously for these competitions. We are competing within "native walls" and did not want to disappoint our fans. We prepared seriously for the competition and the result is obvious".
She emphasized that there are many chances for medals in the next competitions:
"We have a chance in mixed synchronized competitions together with my brother Maqsud Mahsudov. We had previously won a gold medal at the World Cup. I believe that we will repeat the same result here as well. We have a good chance for a medal. Maybe we can overtake Belarus in mixed synchro. But not yet in individual competitions. Because they have Olympic champions. This sport originated in their country before us. It is gratifying that we have achieved this result".
