The Executive Committee of European Gymnastics (EG), under the leadership of President Farid Gayibov, held its regular meeting at its headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland. Sport24.az reports that a number of decisions were made regarding the holding of the European Championship and other competitions next year, and a number of issues were discussed.
The right to host the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in 2026 has been awarded to Varna, Bulgaria. The competition will be held from May 27 to 31.
The European Trampoline Gymnastics Championships will be held from April 8 to 12 in Portimao, Portugal. The European Rhythmic Gymnastics Cup will be held again in Baku from April 30 to May 3.
Decisions were also made at the meeting regarding the holding of other tournaments: European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships (2027), European Age Group and Acrobatic Gymnastics Championships (2027), U-15 European Aerobic Gymnastics Championships (2027), European Artistic and Trampoline Gymnastics Championships (2028), "Gym for Life Challenge" (2028), EUROGYM (2028) and "Golden Age Gym Festival" (2028).
It should be noted that the next meeting of the Executive Committee will be held on October 12-13 in Zurich, Switzerland.
