Dmitri Kramarenko, former goalkeeper of Moscow "Dinamo", CSKA and the Azerbaijani national team, and father of multiple Russian champion in rhythmic gymnastics Lala Kramarenko, in an interview with "Sport24.ru" told about what happened to his daughter at her first training in Moscow after moving from Baku.
- How do you remember Lala's training in Baku?
- They gave her excellent training. The attitude was professional and supportive at the same time. Immediately after training, we could sit and laugh with the coaches in a cafe. And they even visited us. There was no distance between us. When the time came to try ourselves in Moscow, of course, the Baku coaches were unhappy with us. Especially since they were also working in the national team at that time. But it so happened that when Marianna Vasilyeva arrived, they were asked, to put it mildly, to leave the national team. I think this is unfair. If we had stayed in Baku, Lala would have made a name for herself.
- What difficulties did Lala face in the new environment?
- In Moscow, she was different from everyone else: dark-haired and flexible. She returned from her first training almost barefoot. After training, she said, "They poured ice water into my shoes." The girls did all sorts of things there! But this formed her character.
