Azerbaijan's "LANDAU Lions" basketball club has started the EuroCup season. Sport24.az reports that our representative tested its strength against Latvian champion "VEF Rīga" within the second qualifying round of the FIBA Champions League.
The match held in Samokov, Bulgaria ended with a 88-105 defeat for "LANDAU Lions".
After this result, the Baku club had to withdraw from the Champions League. Our team will continue its international campaign in Group G of the FIBA Europe Cup.
Our country's other representative, "Sabah", will test its strength in the main phase of the FIBA Champions League.
