Azerbaijani trampoline athletes will head to Portugal. Sport24.az reports that the third stage of the World Cup will be held in Coimbra on July 5-6.
Seljan Mahsudova and Ali Niftaliyev will perform in this competition.
In the overall standings of the World Cup, Mahsudova is in third place. The Olympic participant has 64 points after two stages. These points were obtained by taking fifth place in the World Cup held in Baku and reaching the semi-finals in the stage held in Riccione, Italy.
Mahsudova is one point ahead of Anzhela Bladtseva (AIN - neutral athlete) and nine points ahead of six-time world champion Japanese Hikaru Mori.
Sofia Alyayeva (AIN, 105 points) is the leader in the overall standings of the World Cup, and Violetta Bardzilovskaya (AIN, 88 points) is in second place.
It should be noted that from this year, medals are also being contested in trampoline gymnastics competitions in mixed pairs synchronous jumping. Mahsudova and Niftaliyev have won two bronze medals in this type of program at the World Cup since the beginning of the season.
