Azerbaijani athletes won four medals on the final day of the European Team Championships held in Maribor, Slovenia.
"Report" informs that four members of the Azerbaijani national team, which is in the 3rd division of the competition, were among the top three.
Elham Naghiyev, who won the 100-meter race yesterday, made a successful performance this time as well. Naghiyev covered 200 meters the fastest among 14 participants with a result of 20.75 seconds.
Lamiya Valiyeva, who was 2nd in the 100-meter race yesterday, finished the 200-meter race in 2nd place with a score of 23.58. Lamiya broke the Azerbaijani record with this result.
Rustam Mammadov took 1st place in the triple jump with a result of 16.31 meters. In the same event, Yekaterina Sariyeva surpassed all her rivals with a score of 13.87 meters in the women's competition.
The Azerbaijani national team, which scored 315.5 points in total, finished the competition in 6th place among 15 countries.
