Ilkin Hajiyev, the head coach of "Neftchi" SC, which plays in the Azerbaijan Futsal Premier League, has assessed the chances of winning the championship.

Idman.biz reports that the specialist stated in an interview with "Report" that they believe they will be the winners of the 2024/2025 season.

He emphasized that the last two matches will be difficult: "We started the season well. Later, Isa Atayev's injury, the departure of some futsal players from the team, and the need for time for the newcomers to adapt made our job a little more difficult. Despite all this, we are currently in second place, with a 3-point difference between us and "Araz-Nakhchivan". We have two difficult games ahead of us. We will play against "Araz-Nakhchivan" and "Baku Fire". We will approach those matches with the determination to win. We will do our best in both meetings. To win the championship, we need to defeat "Araz-Nakhchivan" with a greater goal difference. We will do our best to achieve the maximum result".

Hajiyev said that there are currently no injured players in the squad: "We can enter the next two matches with a full squad. True, there is a week until the match with "Araz-Nakhchivan". But everything is fine now. As we approach the end of the season, there may be some psychological and physical fatigue. However, I hope that our futsal players will not be injured and we will enter the next match with the optimal squad".

It should be noted that "Neftchi" SC is currently in second place in the Premier League standings with 43 points after 18 rounds. The team is only 3 points behind the leader "Araz-Nakhchivan".

"Neftchi" SC will face the Nakhchivan representative in the XIX round to be held on May 22.
