Current Formula 1 champion Lando Norris has spoken about the importance of drivers in changing the series' rules.
Idman.Biz reports that Norris represents the McLaren team.
"To be honest, we have to voice our opinions. We want the fans and ourselves to have a good time. We also want Formula 1 to be the way we've seen it since childhood - just racing at the limit, not like we've experienced so far.
But the big picture, things aren't so simple because of the manufacturers, partners and teams, and the involvement of the business. I hope things will normalize over the next five years and I think we can create even better races.
But we drivers, what we want will also be better for the fans. But, as I said, this is a business, so everything needs to be balanced with the business side, where we clearly have less say. But we are making progress with the FIA. I think they have done a good job of improving the situation," said Norris.
