Zinedine Zidane will not take over the "helm" of Real Madrid, despite rumors. Sport24.az reports that some time ago, news spread in the press that Zidane would replace the current head coach of the "Royal Club", Xabi Alonso, if he was dismissed.
According to the information shared by journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano on social media, Zidane is currently only thinking about working with the French national team. The current coach of the national team, Didier Deschamps, will leave the team after the World Cup next year. Although Zidane has not yet signed a contract with the French Football Federation, a verbal agreement has been reached between the parties.
It should be noted that Zinedine Zidane won the Spanish championship twice and the Champions League three times during his time at Real Madrid (2016–2018 and 2019–2021).
